Well….. Its been over a year since my last article for this website, a little too long to be honest but like everything to do with Carnival its finding the time to do it that seems to be the issue!

So here I am, another year in the Vice Chair seat for my numerous sins! I have to admit my relationship with the carnival has developed into a love hate one, I love to hate it for various reasons… and I hate to love it because of all the hard work we have to put into it in our own time to make it happen but If we don’t to it who will??….. answers on postcards please!

We are well on with the planning of this year’s event. This year opting to start putting wheels in motion much earlier than we have in previous years. Already I am quite excited about what the custodians of this event are going to bring to the city this time round. If you thought last year was good hang on for something to better it!

The marketing campaign has already begun with the promotional event held at The Mall Preston on the 8^th March. It was a huge success and we are looking for the same from our second promotional event at the Fishergate (see events for dates)

Im going to keep this short and sweet, all I can say is that we will try our absolute best to make Preston City Caribbean Carnival the best in recent years. There is a lot of interest from external bands wanting to come and give the reigning champions a run for their money!!! Preston bans
